I recently downloaded and printed the Scout's Honor solo adventure. Problem is it uses something called
the Lone Wolf rules (a free download) that can be found at Hide In Your Attic Games and their web site is not to be found. To make matters more frustrating, even the Internat Archive didn't have it stored in the Wayback Machine.

I wanted to see the Lone Wolf rules as well but all my googleing efforts were bust. The closest I could come up with was the Lone Wolf RPG by Mongoose - I thought I may have been on the right track when I saw they had solo rules - thought maybe the game may have been bought or somesuch but after reading the the LW RPG files on Mongoose - I realized that I followed a dead end lead.

The next thing would be to try to track down the author of the adventure. Maybe our fearless leader here has better insight on how to contact the author, Kate Thumann.

Jerry

IMTU:JR Mapes
0309 C38A975-D S tc++(**) ru+ tm+ !tn t4 tg- t20 !rtt ?t5 ge+ 3i++ c+ jt- au ls+ pi+ ta- he+ kk+ hi++ as++ va dr so+ zh da++ vi+ 633

Re: Scout's Honor solo

On Wed, 12 Mar 2008 22:42:39 -0400, tumbleweed1025 wrote:

The rules in question are contained as an appendix to the Scouts Honor
download, beginning on about page 43 as they are numbered in the PDF. No
additional download is necessary.

Re: Scout's Honor solo

Going back and reading that section, I understand that now. For some reason every time I had read it before I still had the impression that there was a complete set or more to the Lone Wolf rules than those. (Reply crossposted to freetrav.chatter, as that would have been the more
appropriate group.)

If your referee is willing, please ask him to write us an article
concerning (1) how he converted it from a solo to a group adventure, and
(2) how he converted it from Classic Traveller to MegaTraveller.

Suggesting Links

I have a link to my group's website; how do I submit it to the Freelance Traveller links page?

Re: Suggesting Links

On Thu, 28 Aug 2008 11:07:39 -0400, JameRowe wrote:

>I have a link to my group's website; how do I submit it to the Freelance
>Traveller links page?

The best way is to email the editor at editor@freelancetraveller.com.
Make sure you tag the subject with something obvious, like [INFO:LINK]
so that it stands out from all the spam that we get.

You should include the name of the site, the URL, the name of the owner
of the site, and a valid email address to contact YOU at, at a minimum,
as that's what goes on the links page (the email address does NOT go on
the links page. See below for why we want this). An example (for
Freelance Traveller) might look like...

Site Name: Freelance Traveller
Site URL: http://www.freelancetraveller.com
Site Owner: Jeff Zeitlin

My Email: editor@freelancetraveller.com

If the Traveller site is actually a subdirectory on a more
general-purpose site, include the path to the "root" of the Traveller
material, e.g., "http://www.example.com/sfgames/traveller/"

You may also include a summary of what's on the site, but it's not
required, as it does not get included in the link. We'll take a look at
the site before adding it to our list, and if we find a reason that we
can't add it as submitted, we'll contact you at the email address you
give to explain why - if you are able and willing to make changes to
address the reasons we can't add it, you can resubmit the link after
doing so.

If you do NOT include an email address as above, we will assume that the
REPLY-TO: (or FROM:, if there is no REPLY-TO:) address is valid, and
will try to reply to that address. MAKE SURE THAT THE ADDRESS IS NOT
SPAM-PROTECTED - take out any "removethis" or "nospam" or the like that
you normally use; we do not reveal your email address without explicit
case-by-case permission from you, and we will NOT deal with inspecting
every email address to see what sort of antispam "munging" you've chosen
to do - "munging" is for PUBLIC POSTING only; this is a private
communication.
